A watch inspired by the past, inaugurating a new Glashütte Original collection. It is the re-edition of a specific model that certifies the company's expertise in an area still unexplored by the Glashütte manufacture: that of diver's watches (fifty years ago, the brand produced the Spezimatic Type RP TS 200). And it is precisely in the limited edition version (69 pieces), the SeaQ 1969, that this watch relives its heritage to the full. bearing the historical inscription and the number of rubies on the black dial. Faithful also in the choice of green hands and the "Old Radium" shade of the Arabic hour markers. With a steel case measuring 39 millimetres (as opposed to 36 on the original), water-resistant to 200 metres, it is now equipped with the automatic 39-11 calibre with a 40-hour power reserve. Prices: €8,500 to €8,800.
The SeaQ is also available in a non-limited edition, with a black dial and 'Old Radium' colour indexes and hands. Like the other models in the collection, it has a unidirectional anti-clockwise bezel for calculating dive times, with a ceramic insert that makes it particularly scratch-resistant. The crown is screw-down. The case back, tightened with a threaded ring system as in the original model, is decorated with the engraving of the maritime symbol of the trident, the double G of Glashütte Original and 20 waves representing the water-resistance datum (20 atmospheres). Prices: 8,500 to 9,700 euros.
