Frederique Constant Classics Moonphase Manufacture

Since 2004, Frederique Constant has been creating its own calibres, which are then entirely conceived, produced and assembled in-house. This step has been instrumental in gaining more autonomy and control over the production line, improving quality and speeding up the delivery of watches. In-house calibres have become a trademark for Frederique Constant and play an important role in the brand's strategy for the future. The latest calibre produced in-house is the FC-712 automatic movement, the 29th in an ever-growing collection. Based on Frederique Constant's iconic FC-700 series of movements, it has been redesigned to divide the moon phase and date into two counters. The two functions are adjustable via the crown. Thanks to the transparent case back, it is possible to admire the movement itself, which is finished with perlage and côtes de Genève decorations found on all of the company's in-house calibres. It took Frederique Constant's R&D department and master watchmakers two years to perfect this movement and present it to the market. The timepiece is available with a silver or navy blue dial and a polished or rose gold-plated stainless steel case. The 42 mm case, composed of three parts, is fitted with a convex sapphire crystal and the aforementioned transparent back, which allows one to admire the gears of the FC-712 calibre, which guarantees a 38-hour power reserve. The moon phase indicator and date display are located at 3 and 9 o'clock respectively. The elegant rounded dial blends perfectly with the case, which features printed Roman numerals and hand-polished hands. Finally, a calfskin strap with crocodile pattern, available in dark brown, black or blue, completes the ensemble.
