The Grand Seiko Heritage Collection Platinum, in a limited edition of 20 pieces, celebrates 20 years of the 9S calibre, which forms the basis for movements throughout the Grand Seiko catalogue, but also brings back the V.F.A. (Very Fine Adjustment) certification introduced in 1969. After a cycle of tests and adjustments lasting 34 days, Seiko engineers brought the calibre 9S85 from 36,600 vibrations per hour to the incredible performance of +3/ -1 second per day. The 39.5 mm diameter case is identical to that of the first model equipped with the 9S calibre launched in 1998, but the dial is engraved with a new motif in which the brand logo becomes a decorative element. It will be on sale for €53,500.
