Once again this year, on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, the Antica Orologeria Candido Operti organised a series of exhibitions, in special settings outside the historic shop under the arcades of Via Roma, in Cagliari, to bring the public closer to the novelties of the brands represented and the creations of its Atelier. The opening was the presentation of the latest Omega watches and the great classics, chronographs and timepieces that have always stood out for their technical and aesthetic qualities. At the centre of attention were three of the Maison's most important new products, all with performance and precision certified by Metas, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology. The Seamaster Aqua Terra Omega Master Chronometer calibre 8900, with a 41 mm case in steel and Sedna gold, a silver-plated dial embellished with the characteristic horizontal "teak" pattern, a date window moved from 3 o'clock to 6 o'clock also as a tribute to the Seamaster Annual Calendar of 1952, and a sapphire crystal case back with wavy edges. The Racing Master Chronometer with 9900 calibre, 44.25 mm steel case, matt black dial, polished ceramic bezel and brushed Liquidmetal tachymeter scale, perforated black leather strap with orange rubber lining. Dedicated to ladies is the new Seamaster Aqua Terra Ladies model: 38 mm case in steel and Sedna gold, white mother-of-pearl dial, diamond hour markers and diamond-paved bezel. Its characteristic feature is the case integrated with the domed-link bracelet. After the watches, it was the turn of the jewellery creations: diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires alternated in dedicated showcases, accompanied by a few curiosities and brief news items to make the precious materials better known, just as Candido Operti does with his 'Glossaries', 'Racconti Preziosi' books and summer reviews realised in collaboration with some of the most prestigious watch and jewellery brands: Audemars Piguet, Omega, Hublot, Chopard, Chanel, Baume & Mercier, Pasquale Bruni, Pomellato and Dodo, for which Antica Orologeria Candido Operti exclusively oversees distribution in Cagliari. The Via Roma and Via Sulis shops also featured the latest products from Breitling, Longines, Hamilton, Gucci, Damiani, Chantecler, Montblanc, Buccellati, Mimì and the new modern brand Rosefield.
