On 31 August 2017, on the eve of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monza, the appointment with the Laureus F1 Charity Night will be renewed, the fourth edition of the annual fundraising event supporting the activities of the Laureus Italia Onlus Foundation. This year's evening will be hosted in the evocative setting of the Teatro Vetra in Milan and will see the participation of great protagonists from the worlds of sport, business and show business reunited under the banner of solidarity together with the Laureus Ambassadors. A number of young people who are part of the sports-educational programmes will also be involved, testifying to the results achieved by the Foundation in recent years.
As every year, the centrepiece of the evening will be the charity auction to raise proceeds for the Laureus projects. Fundraising is indeed essential to support and increase the Foundation's activities in Italy and, in particular, to support young people and children from difficult social backgrounds so that they can face life with the energy and values of team sports.
From Monday, 17 July 2017, it is possible to bid on the charitystars.com/laureus website among the items up for auction at Charity Night. The value achieved during the online auction period will form the basis for the auction that will take place during the evening.
For this occasion, IWC Schaffhausen has donated the Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar, a unique piece made especially for the 2017 Laureus Charity Night Milano with a 48-mm steel case and Laureus blue dial. A timepiece worth 31,000 euros and with an auction base of 15,500 euros.
