The Richemont Group announced the sudden resignation with immediate effect of Georges Kern, Head of Watchmaking, Marketing and Digital. Kern has left the Group's Executive and Management Committees and will no longer serve on the Board of Directors of Compagnie Financière Richemont SA.
Kern 'has been offered an interesting opportunity to become an entrepreneur. He has had a successful career at IWC Schaffhausen and we wish him the best,' said Johann Rupert, Chairman of Richemont, without giving further details at the moment. Prior to this latest position, which he had only assumed last November, Georges Kern was previously CEO of IWC.
