Longines at Piazza di Siena

Longines' involvement in the Piazza di Siena international equestrian competition in Rome, held from 25 to 28 May, was confirmed once again this year. Partner, timekeeper and official watch of the 85th edition of the traditional equestrian event, the House was the protagonist of the FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping, won by the Italian team composed of Piergiorgio Bucci, Alberto Zorzi, Lorenzo De Luca and Bruno Chimirri, and of the Longines Prize for Elegance, awarded to the Swedish rider Jonna Ekberg and the Italian rider Alberto Zorzi. Unveiled for the occasion was a model from the Equestrian Collection, which draws its inspiration from the world of horse riding: the highlight is the 30 millimetre diameter steel case, in the shape of a horseshoe, embellished with diamonds and a refined mother-of-pearl dial, with blued steel hands and diamonds on the hour markers. Another reference to the world of horses is the brown stitched leather strap, reminiscent of the amazon's outfit. The movement is quartz.
