Longines was the official timekeeper and title partner of the thirteenth leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour held in Rome from 8th to 11th September at the Stadio dei Marmi. The most important competition of the weekend was the Longines Global Champions Tour Gran Prix in Rome, which allows athletes to gain points in the Longines Global Champions Tour ranking and the Longines FEI Ranking List. Started in April in Miami, the circuit will end in November in Doha after 14 stages. The winner was Dutch rider Harrie Smolders riding his Don VHP Z. The official watch for the event was the Longines DolceVita, in steel and diamonds with a silver "flinqué" dial adorned with painted Roman numerals.
