Best wishes to IWC which celebrates 140 years this year. As a tribute to this anniversary, no fewer than six milestones in the brand's history have been re-proposed, updated in a contemporary key. They are all watches in tribute to the first examples of each of the collections, made in steel with a black dial and in platinum with a silver-plated dial, all in limited editions. Here they are in "chronological" order: Aviator Watch Hand-Wound (inspired by the 1936 model); Portuguese Watch Hand-Wound (inspired by the 1939 model); Ingenieur Automatic (the first dates back to 1955); Aquatimer Automatic (a diver's watch born in 1967); Da Vinci Automatic (the first, electronic, dates back to 1969); Portofino Hand-Wound (from 1981). Consider that the first 140 vintage watches in platinum of each model are already reserved: they are available in 140 sets of six pieces arranged in a precious vintage leather case....
