On the subject of Swiss trade fair previews, here is the new model from the PaneraiThis is the Luminor Marina Automatic 44 mm, a chronograph belonging to the Contemporanei collection whose novelty consists in the creation of a bracelet designed to enhance the aesthetics of the model and at the same time to match the case more harmoniously. The precise insertion of the first two links between the lower and upper lugs responds to Panerai's intention to create a bracelet that is a natural continuation of the case, thanks to the presence of links that are rounded both longitudinally and vertically, and no longer curved as in the previous model.
The steel case (44 millimetres in diameter) houses a dial with large Arabic numerals at 6 and 12 o'clock, indexes and hands, all treated with SuperLuminova, small seconds at 9 o'clock and a date display with magnifying glass at 3 o'clock. The movement is an automatic OP III calibre, 21 jewels, 42-hour power reserve, Glucydur monometallic balance, Incabloc shock-absorption device and is chronometer-certified by the COSC.
