Inspired by the 1960s, Glashütte Original's Sixties Iconic Collection comprises five watches with colourful dials in distinctive shades, from which the models take their names: Sixties Red, Sixties Golden, Sixties Aqua, Sixties Brown and Sixties Grey. All feature an eye-catching dégradé effect, achieved through a long and complex process at the Glashütte Original dial manufactory in Pforzheim. In this process, the dials are first galvanised with extreme care; layers of lacquer are added by hand in a series of successive stages. In the final stage, an additional colour is added very carefully with a special spray gun, which produces, depending on the angle, an individual colour shade that makes each watch unique.
They all come with a 39-millimetre steel case and a matching Louisiana alligator strap. The movement is the automatic 39-52 calibre.
The Sixties Iconic Collection will be available in Glashütte Original boutiques in Dresden, Paris, Geneva, Dubai, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macao and Tokyo. They will also be available at some of the Swatch Group's high-end Tourbillon boutiques.
