The Aquatimer collection, the star attraction at IWC's Sihh 2014, adopts a major complication for the first time: the perpetual calendar combined with a large digital date display showing the day of the week and the month, based on the so-called "jumping advance" system, which sets aside a small amount of energy each time the date is struck at midnight. The four-year leap year cycle is also shown digitally. The date and month discs are covered with perforated plates, inspired by the filter systems found on all diving equipment today. The rotating bezel is in red gold. IWC's Safe Dive system allows it to rotate only anti-clockwise. The case, pushers and crown are made of rubber-coated titanium. The movement is the automatic 89801 calibre and water resistance is 10 atmospheres. Limited edition of 50 pieces.
